MyTata Inglese è un’associazione di ragazze e ragazzi madrelingua inglese che hanno come obbiettivo principale di condividere con grandi e piccoli la loro cultura, insegnando l’inglese tramite esperienze e laboratori divertenti al posto delle classiche lezioni di lingua. Sia i laboratori privati in casa che quelli collettivi sono stati pensati e strutturati per offrire un’esperienza completa e un percorso linguistico che vada oltre l’applicazione della grammatica e l’apprendimento del vocabolario. Divertendosi, celebrando feste e compleanni, giocando, leggendo, cucinando e pensando in Inglese, bambini, adolescenti e adulti si sentono presto più sicuri e a loro agio quando comunicano in questa lingua che spesso hanno già studiato… Le loro conoscenze aspettano SOLO di essere liberate.
I membri della nostra associazione condividono alcuni valori che sono alla base della nostra filosofia, delle tematiche e dei progetti di MyTata Inglese e che si riflettano sia nei laboratori ed esperienze che nelle iniziative dell’associazione. Abbiamo per esempio sempre considerato che facilitare l’integrazione di culture diverse e la conoscenza reciproca di tradizioni, lingua e storia faccia parte delle nostre priorità ed è per questo che abbiamo lanciato nel 2020 il progetto MyTata MyOrigins insieme all’Associazione Anelli Mancanti che mira ad aiutare a migliorare l’utilizzo della lingua italiana sia delle nostre insegnanti madrelingua inglesi che di bambini che non sono di madrelingua italiana e necessitano di aiuto per impararla o perfezionarla.
Preserving our planet is also a priority in terms of the values we uphold and transmit to our members and the children we work with. Recycling, resource conservation, and respect for all beings, nature, and materials are reflected in every theme, game, and lab we offer. We gladly organize and participate in external events that promote the use of renewable energies and respect for the environment.
Regarding education, we consider it our responsibility to contribute to every individual’s acquisition of general knowledge. That's why we don't just teach English while entertaining both children and adults. We also tackle challenging topics and contemporary thought for older participants and introduce younger participants to essential aspects of our civilization, including art, history, and literature.
The customization of our labs as well as the importance we give to the personality of each association member enables us to be flexible in providing what each individual needs. We are proud of our collective labs, which are the heart of our organization's offerings and allow us to maintain a connection with families, building our community around parties, games, and celebrations of all kinds. However, we also consider the work of our native English-speaking teachers in your homes to be fundamental, as they often play an important role in the education of both children and teens. As for teens, they are the age group that solidifies our community. As role models for the younger members and often friends of the teachers, the teens are the most active members of our community. For those who are highly dedicated, we invite you to contact us to design a full immersion program where you will learn the language at an accelerated pace by being involved in the planning, organization, and execution of labs and events, assisting the teachers with whom you will speak exclusively in English.
Our community is therefore made up of children, young women and men, parents, and teachers who interact in an international setting. They share common priorities such as education quality, the importance of languages, and respect for diverse cultures, individuals, and their environment (our planet). Twice a year, the association organizes a free event where everyone can meet, discuss, have fun, and play together in English. During this event, families and teachers can also arrange potential collaborations directly, even independently of the association itself.
